Nimano Suites

For January 2026, I’d give the Nimano Suites the award for the most painful hotel sofa. Sitting on the beige brown one in room 44 was agony for my bum. The bed wasn’t much better, and the air conditioning unit is rotten. The price was OK and the location was good, but it felt more like a run down money machine than a hotel. The pool is the most tragic I’ve seen in all of Thailand.

I was there at the end of last month, and I’d stay again. The hotel is close enough to Nimmanhaemin that I could walk around the area and reach its tourist attractions easily. I especially can’t say enough about Tawan. I was surprised he spoke Korean, and he gave me helpful advice and suggestions.

I’m especially thankful to Tawan at the front desk, whose kindness and quick help got me to my flight on time. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel is right in the heart of Chiang Mai, near good places to eat and shopping areas. I really appreciate the help.

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. I had booked two nights but left after the first because the room was dirty and clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. The bathroom’s strong mold smell spread through the whole room and was unbearable. I didn’t want to argue at checkout, so afterward I emailed to ask for a refund for night two and got no reply. When I later contacted them through Agoda, they said they couldn’t refund me because I hadn’t raised it while checking out. That was dishonest and disappointing. The hotel in person is far from what the photos show. I strongly advise against staying here.
