Lalala Hotel Hua Hin

I liked the room and really enjoyed my stay a few weeks ago. After getting home, I noticed I'd left a mobile device behind. The staff found it and mailed it back to me. Their help went well beyond what I expected, and I'm grateful for the effort.

The room and bathroom were spotless and in great shape. Even the high-quality linens were perfectly clean.

It's a quiet hotel and comfortable enough, with the beach and major shopping malls nearby. There wasn't a chef on most of the days I was there, but beer and cold drinks were available. The hotel's good pool is about 50 metres away. Good value overall.

The room was in rough shape, from the old, noisy TV and fridge to the air conditioner, which changed modes during the night even when set manually. The bed was two mattresses pushed together, and one had completely sagged; its metal springs made noise. The old, dirty blue fleece under plain white sheets was unpleasant, and the toilet smelled strongly. There are narrow stairs and no elevator. There wasn't coffee or tea, just a water heater, apparently for plain hot water. It felt like the owner wasn't putting any money back into the place, since things were worn down, dirty, or broken. I've stayed in eight hotels in Thailand so far, and this had the worst price-to-quality ratio. You can find better, cheaper hotels nearby. Worst!
