Norn Nee Nor Hostel&Cafe

The self-service bar with bananas, water, and coffee was a nice touch. The rooms themselves were fine, but loud music and drunk shouting from the nightclub next door kept going until 2:30 a.m. every night, even though we stayed Tuesday through Thursday. At check-in, they only warned us that weekends could be noisy. There are signs all over asking guests to keep quiet, which felt pretty ironic with the bass pounding all night. I also asked for an invoice for the stay and got no response. We booked through Booking.com, but the hotel is responsible for issuing the invoice. If sleepless nights and a heavy dose of sarcasm sound appealing, this could be your place. Otherwise, I’d book somewhere else.

The terrace-side rooms face other guest rooms, so with the curtains open there’s little privacy, even in the daytime. Sheer curtains alongside the blackout ones would make that more comfortable. At night, music from the party street behind the hostel can sometimes be hard to avoid. The street out front is fairly quiet for now, though that could change as the area develops. Inside, everything was clean and well maintained, and the room facilities were excellent. The hostel is stylish, and the free kitchen supplies were a real surprise: cup noodles, bananas, yogurt, and plenty of other items. I hadn’t stayed somewhere that offered so much for free before. There’s also a ground-floor cafe for tea or coffee whenever you like. If those few issues don’t bother you, the facilities and generous extras make for a pleasant stay.

A modern little boutique hotel in the heart of Nimman, with great service and a nice outdoor seating area. There’s a small coffee shop open during the day, plus a shared dining space with complimentary coffee, fruit, and cereal.

Staff and service were 10/10, and the rooms and bathroom were nice and clean. The hostel is in a great spot in Nimman, close to everything you need. I’d give it five stars if the nearby bars weren’t so loud, playing music until around 1am. That’s not the hostel’s fault. I also couldn’t get Netflix, though I thought I’d read a review saying it was available in the king bed rooms. It wasn’t there when I stayed, but there were relevant channels to watch.
