This place has a lovely mini-jungle atmosphere, and I’d recommend it for an extended remote-work stay in Chiang Mai. I stayed in July 2025 and found it convenient for Old Town, Santithan and Nimman, near the northern edge of Old Town. A Bolt ride to the Naight bazaar area was easy too. I briefly had a couple of friends over, and they were impressed by the space as well. Late check-in was no problem, and the lovely owner lent me bicycles for free. I’d also heard that shower filters in Old Town lodgings could turn black after just 2-3 days. At Oldy De Garden, my portable filter only turned light brown after 7-8 days of use.

I booked without knowing what to expect and was really surprised by how much I liked staying here. The place felt cozy, surrounded by beautiful plants, and the room was clean, spacious and homey. Out front, there’s a private porch to sit on. The kitchen had a good-sized fridge, plates, utensils, a kettle and a microwave, plus plenty of drinking water. I hope there’s a room available next time I’m in Chiang Mai.

I wish I’d known how peaceful and good value this place was, because I would have booked a longer stay. The garden is a beautiful touch, and it’s very kid-friendly.

Our room was completely flooded when toilet water leaked from the upstairs bathroom. It soaked our things, covered the floor and reached the electrical outlets, which was a serious safety concern. About 10 hours later, the owner asked us to move back into that same damaged room. We refused because of the safety and hygiene issues, and she asked us to pay extra to stay in the other room. We checked out early and moved to a different hotel because of the safety concerns and her behavior.

I loved the room and the atmosphere, all greenery and wood. They paid attention to every detail, and everything was extremely clean and nice. The kitchen was well equipped too. I enjoyed the place so much, highly recommend it!
