For a budget hotel, this was very good value. The basics were all working: it was clean, the AC and shower worked, the king-sized bed was nice, and the location was excellent. The room was small, with a little desk and lamp, a TV stand, and a fridge, but no safe. There was only one light, so it felt a bit dark. A few hooks and a drying rack came in handy for our packing cubes. The shower and toilet share one room, which I didn't like as a Canadian, though I know that's common in Asia. By the pedestal sink there was a flimsy shelf that could barely fit our toothbrushes. A light above the sink and more space for toiletries would've been nice.

Don't expect luxury, but the simplicity, practicality, and the owner's kindness made this a good choice for me. He's always ready to help with requests. The location is hard to beat, with 7/11, massage places, restaurants, pharmacies, and even things that aren't on the map just steps away. One correction to what I thought at first: the nearest massage place is 40 steps away. I'd book an apartment here without hesitation.

We could walk everywhere from this small hotel, and the service was excellent. We didn't lack for anything. The only disappointment was that the company advertised free breakfast as included, but it wasn't. The hotel itself was small, but it worked well for us.

The location is excellent, on a quiet street, though we could hear people talking and dishes clattering from neighboring rooms and the coffee shop beside the guesthouse. Our sleep was also affected by the thin curtains, which let in a lot of early morning light. The shower water was only lukewarm at best, and the room lights kept flickering on and off. The owner wasn't available, so we couldn't get that lighting problem fixed.
