Si Phum Heritage Boutique Chiang Mai

The staff were consistently delightful, friendly, and full of good suggestions, and it was easy to ask them for extra water or linens. Daily cleaning was effective. Both rooms we used, the heritage room and the third-floor garden-view room, were clean, prettily decorated, and had spacious showers. The upper room had a high ceiling and looked onto a beautiful tree, with a wat visible in the distance. The block is quiet with little traffic, there’s a cute coffee shop around the corner, and it’s close to an Old City entrance. The main noise issue was a very active rooster nearby. We both had to play white noise through the night to drown out the crowing. There’s no breakfast, just instant coffee and a kettle. The heritage room had a low ceiling and a humidity problem, and didn’t smell great. Lighting could be better in both rooms: each had a cold blue fluorescent light, a dimmer warm lamp, or ceiling lights that weren’t terrible, but the setup made evenings less pleasant. For the price, it’s good value, and the staff were responsive and nice. We didn’t encounter any upselling, pressure, or bait and switch.

The reception feels like someone’s living room, a cozy spot to sit and have tea, and the room was fantastic, especially the one with a balcony. This was the cutest hotel we stayed at in Thailand. We tried three places in Chiang Mai, and this one was easily the best. It has so much charm. I’d absolutely recommend staying here and will be back.

I felt relaxed and comfortable the whole time. The rooms are lovely, and the place has a great energy and a really homely feel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It’s also well located, within walking distance of lots of nice restaurants and the night market. I’d highly recommend staying here.

A little gem in a central spot, with comfortable rooms and great value. It’s peaceful inside, with traditional Thai music playing, and there’s a full restaurant and beer available. I could have happily stayed longer to relax. Highly recommend!
