Stamps Backpackers Hostel

The social events and activities are fun, reasonably priced, and an easy way to meet people. Stamps has a lively atmosphere, but there’s no pressure to drink, and things quiet down at a sensible hour. The staff are lovely, and I even made friends with a few of them. After eight months of traveling in Asia, this is one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in. The beds and rooms were the nicest and most private I’d seen in a hostel. I highly recommend Stamps.

The common area is amazing, and the air-conditioned pod dorms have great beds. I tried the fan bunks on my first stay and liked them less. There are fun events every night, especially pub quiz and music bingo, which make meeting people easy. During the day, they can arrange great tours where you’ll meet other people from the hostel. I especially recommend the cooking class. Stamps is one of my favorite hostels ever. There’s room to relax here even though the hostel is very social, and the beds are so comfortable. The staff are lovely and ready to help with whatever you need. I came on my own and found plenty of people to connect with, sometimes even ending up traveling together. I also think it works well if you aren’t traveling solo. I met so many nice people and ended up traveling with three of them.

It’s relaxed, but there’s usually something going on, and nobody makes you join in. Knight and the team really make guests feel at home and seem to care about them. The place is clean and well located in Chiang Mai. I ended up staying longer than I’d planned and would recommend it to anyone backpacking through Thailand.
