Right in the heart of Chiang Mai, this place feels like a little French country hideaway. The salmon was fresh and lovely, and the pâté went perfectly with the pickles and onions. Crisp bread and creamy butter, too. Locals and travellers can settle in for the evening with music, water features, a drink or two of red or white, and a menu to die for. French? Yes, but with a very country feel. Oui!!!
The place may not wow you at first glance, and it can be a bit tricky to get to after dark. It doesn't look grand, either. But the food was a really nice surprise. The portions are a good size for Westerners, which is unusual at many Thai restaurants, and the service was friendly. The cheese and salmon were aromatic, and everything tasted delicious. It isn't cheap, but I thought it was worth the price.

The owner was friendly, and there was a lovely cat around. I ordered lasagna and a potato omelet, both with portions sized just right for Western diners. It's a French restaurant with plenty of different food, and the taste was so good. Loved it! 😍
Best carbonara I've had in Thailand, and the portion was huge. Excellent!
