Tadkham Village

The Chiang Mai Gate Night Market is very close, so we ended up eating there almost every night. The Saturday walking street is nearby too. We stayed for a little over two months and were completely comfortable. Staff were incredible and helpful, our rooms were cleaned twice a week, and there’s a small downstairs kitchen with a sink, fridge, and microwave. There’s also security at night. I’d definitely stay again.

I asked the very strict manager about booking a room for next winter, and it was already sold out. Apparently I should turn up in November to ask about 2028, with no guarantee of a reservation! Draw your own conclusion... 🤔

The staff are super attentive, vigilant, and helpful, and this was the best value for money I’ve experienced in Chiang Mai. The rooms are spacious and have a tiny separate kitchenette, so I love not having to wash dishes in the bathroom sink. It has a charming outdoorsy feel and is tucked away while still being really close to Chiang Mai gate. I’d stay here again and again.

The only thing that kept me from giving five stars was a smell coming from the bathroom drainage, even though the bathroom was clean. Otherwise the room was clean and spacious, and I loved the firm bed. Reception provided great service. I bought breakfast and needed it reheated in the morning, and they warmed it up and served it to me, which was way beyond what I expected. Thanks. I’d stay here again if I visit Chiang Mai.
