The Chiang Mai Riverside

A cozy boutique hotel, and the service was superb. Ms Cartoon and Ms Day at the front desk were especially good. I booked directly, which included daily breakfast, the minibar, and a few laundry pieces each day at no charge. There are lots of nice cafes nearby, and driving here with parking wasn’t a problem. A night market is about a 10-minute drive away. When I checked out, the team kindly packed a coffee for me to take along. Such warm service.

We spent three nights in the Vorra Kamol two-bedroom suite at The Chiangmai Riverside Hotel. It was nicely decorated and had everything we needed. The staff were attentive to our requests, and breakfast had a very good variety of dishes. The location worked well for us, around a 10-minute drive from both the airport and city centre. It was a memorable stay, and we’ll definitely come back.

The location means a short drive to the old town, though the grounds sit right on the river and have peaceful views. The hotel provides transport into the old town and back, which made the distance easy to manage. We were lucky to be there during Loy Krathong. The hotel put on a wonderful dinner with great food and a lovely cultural experience. The restaurant and staff were all top notch, well worth our five stars. The free buffet breakfast was really good and the service was great, though the location is quite far from the city. It works well if you don’t plan on going out much. I stayed one night in an upgraded room for my birthday. The room looked much nicer online than it did in person. There were cosmetic issues that seemed fixable with a little care, including very dirty curtains, stained walls, and visible dust. At this price, I was taken aback.
