The Oriental Siam Resort

The property grounds and layout are beautiful, and the villas are clean and well equipped. They’re a little older, but that suits the surroundings better than a modern room would. Nat, Kobby and the team have made this place special. There isn’t much to do nearby, though it’s a great spot to unwind and an easy Grab ride from town. The staff are amazing and always offered to keep my kids busy while we ate breakfast or had massages in the villa. Breakfast could get a bit repetitive during a longer stay, but it was always delicious. The restaurant is worth eating at for its lovely ambience.

It was lovely having such a quiet place to come back to, even though the city center was about a 20-minute drive away. The resort felt very family-friendly, and our room was clean, pretty, and comfortable. Everyone on staff was so kind and helpful. We had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend it and come back.

It was calm there, with the resort far enough from town to feel like an oasis but still close enough that we felt connected to the city. The staff made us feel welcome from check-in right through to leaving, and seemed to truly enjoy their work. It almost felt like staying with family. We loved how easy it was to balance quiet days at the resort with trips into town, just 15 minutes away by Grab, and excursions arranged from there. It made exploring Chiang Mai and the area feel complete. The grounds were so peaceful, with villas tucked into a tropical garden full of trees, flowers, butterflies, and birds. A waterfall ran into a pond with fish, and the garden was tended every day. It was even lovelier than the photos suggested. We stayed for two months and moved among different villas as our group shifted between four, three, two, and sometimes one person. That flexibility worked really well for us. All four of us found the stay a joy, and the mix of pool time, comfort, and quiet was just what we wanted. The staff's care and warmth made a big impression. They arranged everything with such attention that after a few weeks it started to feel like home. Breakfast always included fresh fruit laid out beautifully, and we still remember dinners on the veranda at the restaurant overlooking the pond. Thank you to Nat, Mr Kobby, Sunny, and the whole team.
