Viangbua Mansion

The staff were the sweetest part of our four-night stay, and the rooms were spacious and well set up. The property is budget-friendly considering how lavish its amenities are, and it's easy to get to most tourist attractions. I stayed here during my Thailand vacation and had a phenomenal time. If I visit Chiang Mai again, I won't hesitate to stay here. I'd recommend it to anyone travelling alone or with family.

I picked this restaurant expecting a calmer atmosphere because noise affects me a lot for medical reasons. The signs ask guests to keep quiet, but the staff were speaking incredibly loudly, even in the lobby and hallway, and carrying on like village fools. Why doesn't the same request apply to them?

Santitham is my favorite place to stay in Chiang Mai. It’s away from the old city’s main tourist area, but right in the student district, with loads of affordable places to eat, drink and get coffee. The upper-floor rooms facing west look straight out to Doi Suphet mountain, with nothing blocking the view. The staff were so warm and helpful that plenty of five-star hotels could feel embarrassed by comparison.

You’re close to plenty of restaurants and other things here, and it’s a bit calmer than Nimman while still being an easy GRAB ride to wherever you need to go. The hotel is very clean, with cozy rooms that feel homey, and it’s great value for money. The service is excellent, especially from the genuinely friendly and attentive staff, from reception through to breakfast. I’d recommend staying here without hesitation. One small thing: having to log back into the Wi-Fi every two hours seems unnecessary, so a longer connection period would be better.
