Vimarn Kaew Village and Resort

The setting was the one drawback for us. It’s in a residential neighborhood, so it wasn’t as easy to walk around as in other places we’ve stayed. Still, it was a short Uber ride to the Sunday Night Market and city center, and the peaceful surroundings and service more than made up for that. We’d happily come back, and we’re already planning another visit. The villa itself felt like a rainforest fairytale at night, especially in the rain, with colorful lanterns glowing in the garden trees. We didn’t get to swim, but the pool looked magical and had fun floats for guests. The property was stunning. We only had one night before leaving Chiang Mai, but the staff treated us like VIPs. They welcomed us warmly, took our luggage to the villa, and seemed to anticipate what we needed. The manager drove us to the airport and offered to stop for lunch along the way. Just before we left, they brought out hot tea and cake as another sendoff. There was a lovely welcome spread in the villa: fresh fruit, hot tea, cakes and snacks, plus a fridge stocked with cold water, Coke, Fanta, and other treats. They’d also set up a Nespresso machine for our early coffee. The lobby coffee shop was meant to open at 8:30 am. We passed around 8:45 and didn’t see anyone, but a little later they brought us coffee and toast without being asked. That’s the kind of generous, intuitive care we got throughout. This was one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. I can’t recommend it enough.

The pool felt like an oasis in the urban jungle, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. It’s a quiet, calm area just outside Chiang Mai’s center. Breakfast was good, with a mix of Thai and continental food and something different to eat each day. Since it’s a bit out of the center, a rental car or scooter is recommended, though you know that when you choose this place.

My friends and I had a wonderful night at this resort. The room was nice, the garden beautiful, and everything was done well, with excellent service. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, friendly place to retreat and relax with family.

The breakfast was superb, and the staff and service were wonderful. I had an amazing time and would give it six stars if I could. Definitely coming back.
