Wooden Hostel

The room's dark grey color made it feel much too dark for me, so I bought colorful lanterns and decorations. I stayed for 21 days and I'm sure I'll come back. The location is great, near the Saturday night market on Walking street and about a 10-minute walk from the South gate. There's a nice garden, lovely staff, laundry on the ground level, and a fridge with bottles of water in the corridor by the rooms.

I stayed here with my dog and felt comfortable and at home. It's a cute, pet friendly homestay with hostel rooms and private rooms in separate houses. The beds are comfortable, the aircon works well, and the showers have high water pressure. There was plenty of space, a wardrobe, a shared fridge, free water, and a large shared kitchen. The garden is huge, and the staff are kind and attentive. There's a pharmacy in front and a restaurant right next door. The price was fair, and it's right next to the Saturday night market.

Two hours before my flight home, the manager took my luggage. At first I thought someone had come in off the street and stolen everything, but it turned out this woman had lost her mind and taken my things. Luckily I got them back just before I had to leave. I nearly left wearing only the clothes I had on. I was furious when I realized she'd done it on purpose.

If you're into markets like I am, the location is handy: it's close to Kom Market, Thipanet Market, Kad Manee Night Market, and just off the Saturday Walking Street. There's lots of space here, the rooms seem like new, and each building has a refrigerator. Guests can also use the big kitchen.
