The Wi-Fi worked well, and the room was clean with no bad smell. Still, I had a bad experience and won’t come back. I paid 600 Baht per night, and the hotel offers no breakfast. The mattress was awful: I could feel every steel spring against my body and couldn’t sleep all night. There was no toilet paper, coffee, hot water kettle, or drinking glasses in the room. They asked for a $500 cash deposit for the key. The reception staff were unfriendly and seemed uninterested. The outside floor was dark at night, so I had to walk to my room in the dark. There was no soundproofing, and I could hear people walking on the upper floor. The air conditioning didn’t cool strongly. I can’t recommend this minimalist hotel.

There’s plenty of parking, and my room was very clean and spacious. It didn’t come with toilet paper, so you may need to buy some for your stay.

I was really happy with my stay at this brand-new hotel, which had just opened in Sept 2019. Everything was new and clean, and the rooms were surprisingly huge for such a low price, with even bigger bathrooms. The shower stalls were enormous, and the water pressure was the best I’ve had in Thailand. I wish I had that kind of pressure at home. The staff were super nice. When I asked to move rooms, they were very accommodating. The family who owns the place is lovely and really made an effort to keep me happy. It’s very convenient for Chiang Rai Rajabhat University, and I’ll definitely stay again if I need a hotel in the Chiang Rai area. There was no breakfast, which was fine. They were still working out a few things in the lobby, and maybe there’ll be breakfast or coffee in the future. I didn’t ask about their plans.
