A good base, with spacious rooms and professional, efficient staff. We booked a deluxe king room, and the bed was very comfortable, though the bathroom could use some updating. The breakfast buffet has an impressive spread, including an egg station, and the gym is one of the best I've seen in a hotel. Desserts in the cafe area were delicious, especially the blueberry tart and brownie. Grab taxis are affordable, and the White Temple is about 20 minutes away. The room doors have a mechanism that sounds an alarm if they're not shut properly. Several neighbouring guests seemed to struggle with closing theirs, so we heard it go off pretty often.

The free room upgrade from the friendly receptionist was a lovely start, and the suite was incredible for the price. It was clean and modern, with subtle local heritage touches, and had two bathrooms, a lounge, microwave, large fridge, huge closet, dining table, two desks with mirrors, two TVs, and a very comfortable king-size bed. The saltwater pool was sparkling clean and well maintained, with a sun terrace and lush gardens. It was great for relaxing after visiting the White Temple or Clock Tower, both super close by. The hotel felt welcoming and serene, with plenty of energy around the convention spaces too. This place is an absolute steal, luxury well above what the price suggests. I'd highly recommend The Heritage Chiang Rai to anyone visiting northern Thailand.

The rooms were spacious and stunning, and daily cleaning was offered. Staff were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond. It was excellent value for the standard, and the location worked well, just a 9 minute bike ride to the centre. I'd love to stay at the Heritage again.

The location isn't in the middle of the action, but that didn't bother me. If you're a tired traveller who needs somewhere to hole up for a while, this place is it. I honestly can't think of how they could improve it. I was seriously impressed. I've stayed in more hotels than I can count, and this had probably the most comfortable bed I've slept in anywhere. The room felt high end, with plenty of space, strong shower pressure and HOT water, black-out curtains, a cold fridge, microwave, plates, glassware, and cutlery. Breakfast was tasty with lots of options. The pool was giant and empty, and the gym had brand new equipment. Anyone giving it a low score is straight up trippin!
