The room had everything we needed and was very comfortable, and the location was perfect for us, easy to reach from any direction. The service was the biggest plus, really top-notch. One evening, the young woman who is there most evenings went above and beyond when we asked for paper to make a birthday card for our niece. She said she had a program for making a personalized card, so we sent a photo of our niece and the birthday details. She printed a charming card that our niece loved. We'd never had such a kind gesture at any other hotel we've stayed in. Thank you, Parawee.

Our two days at Sir Kwan's hotel in Chiang Rai were one of the most memorable parts of a wonderful fifteen-day trip around Thailand with my mom. We met plenty of kind, welcoming people along the way, but Sir Kwan was the best host we’ve ever had. He greeted us so warmly that we felt at home right away. The place was calm and comfortable, a welcome spot to rest after all our exploring. You can tell Sir Kwan really cares about his guests: he was thoughtful and generous throughout, and made sure we felt looked after and happy. We’re already planning to return, this time for a full two weeks so we can enjoy more of that hospitality.

The Blue Temple is only about a 10 minute walk away, and Parawee Boutique Chiang Rai Hotel itself is a peaceful, charming place with a lovely flower-filled outdoor dining area. Breakfast was very good, too. The owner is especially friendly and welcoming, which made the stay feel special. We’d definitely recommend it.

A newer-feeling hotel with a quiet setting a bit outside town. It was clean, the staff were friendly, and the price was the best part. Breakfast wasn’t a big spread, but there was enough. The mattress was too hard, and the curtains let in too much light. They also sell coffee made with a proper machine alongside the instant coffee, but the staff didn’t seem to know how to use it. I ordered a cappuccino twice and got an americano with some milk both times.
