One Budget Hotel Chiangrai Soi Sawan

The staff were very good, and it’s easy to travel from here since the hotel is close to the city. It’s a clean, good place with strong internet.

Staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean. The Wi-Fi in our room was spotty, which was annoying and seems fixable. The building next door was a construction site, though it may have been abandoned, and there was no noise during our stay. A big plus is that Central Chiang Rai mall is just a 5-minute walk away, so groceries and food are easy to get, which makes this a good option for families.

The room and bathroom were spotless, and the shower had a strong flow. The mattress was soft and comfortable too. The only downsides were the construction sites around the hotel and no electric kettle. Still, it was a real bargain and worth the price.

The lobby makes a welcoming first impression, with lots of seating, free Wi-Fi, and a wireless printer at reception. There’s also a coffee and cappuccino machine at breakfast, and sliding doors at both the front and rear make it easy to bring luggage straight in. The hotel feels brand new, is very clean and quiet, and has Thai plants across from the parking area. It’s in a new construction area, just two blocks from the main drag. You could pay a lot more and still not get a better stay. Be smart in Changrai and stay at the One Budget 🙂
