Six Nature Resort

We booked through booking.com for a room with air conditioning, with payment due on arrival. After we paid the manager in cash, she showed us a room without air conditioning and said getting one would cost extra, more than another night on top of what we’d already paid. Confused, we showed her our booking.com confirmation. She got upset, stopped discussing it and said we couldn’t stay and had to leave. She took out our money and literally threw it back at us. We hadn’t complained, just wanted to check we had the right room. We even said we’d accept the room without air con, but she kept refusing to talk and telling us to leave. We were quite far from town and had to wait for a taxi to take us back to Chiang rai to find somewhere else. While we waited, she offered us another room at a higher price, then got on the phone laughing and talking loudly. Within about a minute, she didn’t seem upset at all. The whole thing was very confusing, and I’m not sure what to make of it. Booking here and what happened left us in a tricky situation. I don’t like writing a negative review, but I hope this doesn’t happen often and wanted to warn people.

Sunrise and sunset from the property were things I especially loved. It’s a wonderful little place to get close to nature outside the city, but the major temples are still just a Grab ride away. The host was incredibly attentive and sweet, always ready to help however she could. My room was spacious, beautifully decorated with some vintage pieces and thoughtful details. Thank you for making me feel so comfortable!

The staff were kind and helpful, and we had a very good time. It’s a warm, excellent resort with a great room, set in a quiet area a little outside the city. I recommend it.

The host was so thoughtful and looked after me like I was her own kid 😁 The room is perfectly fine for easygoing travelers, but it's the fresh air and gorgeous morning view that really made me love this place. Such a lovely atmosphere.
