The big Night Market sets up right in front of the guesthouse on Saturdays. It's also well placed for exploring Chiang Rai. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a small bathroom, towels, a fridge, and a hair-dryer. The one bad night was because the rain on the roof was so loud we couldn't sleep. Otherwise, a great place.

We stayed with our family at Suantung Coffee & Guesthouse from 10-11 September 2025. The team were friendly and welcoming, and the place was clean and peaceful, even though there were only a few staff. They went out of their way to find us a rental car at a very competitive price, which made our trip much easier. Breakfast had limited choices and was simple, but everything tasted good and there was enough to satisfy us. Keep in mind there isn't any staff on site after 5:00 pm to help with extra needs, so it's best to plan ahead. A cosy, well-kept guesthouse with great hospitality, and a good choice for a pleasant stay in Chiang Rai.

The Saturday night market on this street was amazing, though it closes off road access after about 4 pm, so arrive early if you're bringing a vehicle. My two nights here were great: the ladies were kind and helpful, my room was clean and comfortable, and restaurants and a 7-11 were an easy walk away. Breakfast was excellent, with a choice of Western or Thai. I went with Thai and loved it.
