Hug House

The atmosphere is great, with a beautiful view across the mountains of Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar.

The view made the high price feel worthwhile, and there are tables outside each room for moo kata (grilled pork barbecue), along with bamboo chairs. We stayed in a tent with its bathroom on the ground floor, which made nighttime trips downstairs difficult. The tents were very dusty. When we opened the door, the light showed dust everywhere. They also have detached rooms and tents with bathrooms on the same level as the tents. We arrived at the check-in counter and it was very quiet, with no food available. There was some confusion about breakfast: my friend asked the price and was told breakfast was included, but breakfast wasn't included for us. The moo kata dinner set was 500 baht and quite generous. We also ordered a la carte, and the dishes were average but edible. The road up to this place on Doi Sango was narrow and difficult to pass, with large ruts that looked as if water had eroded it. Be careful driving up.

The view from the accommodation looks over Laos, and there are cats you can play with. This cafe and place to stay on Doi Sa Ngo serves food and drinks. The drinks are average, but the staff are lovely.

The view faces east, so you can watch the sunrise from bed in the morning. There may be a little less fog, but it's beautiful.
