Bangsaen Villa Hotel

The little cafe across the road was a favorite, and the location itself is good, though there isn't much to do around here. The staff were friendly. We paid 2,000+ through Agoda. It's an old hotel, even though the rooms have been renovated. Our room was fine, but there are no elevators. At night we had to switch on the third-floor hallway lights ourselves when we came back 😆. The restaurant and check-in area could use renovation, and I probably wouldn't pick this place again.

A safe parking area is available, and the location is handy for the walking street. Public pickup trucks, or songthaew, pass through the area from time to time. The rooms are old and not especially well kept, though they are reasonably comfortable. They don't have much atmosphere, the towels are worn out, and the TV is miserable, with a poor channel connection.

The staff were friendly, and the restaurant was adequate. The small apartments we stayed in for two nights didn't impress me much. I saw a couple of them up close, and the rooms smelled musty, weren't very clean, and looked extremely outdated.

We found the rooms clean and the price level was okay. The balcony rooms overlooking the swimming pool were acceptable, though they should be renovated. The Bang Saen Villa restaurant across the road sits on a nice platform above the sea. The food is good but expensive, and it's also a nice spot for breakfast.
