Mybed Chonburi

The location was prime, and my room was clean. I had a good experience at the hotel and highly recommend staying here.

The staff were extremely unfriendly and unprofessional, and I left with a really bad experience. Parking was a problem, especially on weekends, when there was no security or camera coverage. The whole hotel is covered in don't-do-this, don't-do-that notices, with strict rules about seafood, pets, durian and cigarettes. It felt like they were looking for any mistake or excuse to charge extra. There's only one key card per room, which is inconvenient for two people because the elevator needs the card. They wanted an extra 500 THB for another one. The highway noise was extremely loud, and I couldn't sleep at all. They tried to charge me 2000 THB over a smoke smell in the bathroom. I was accused of committing a crime for smoking there, even though to me it was a major insult and a misunderstanding of the difference between hotel policy and law. I only smoked once in the bathroom. The housekeeper took pictures of my room, printed them, and stuck them on my door as a first warning, then they tried to charge me 2000 THB at checkout. Housekeepers entered even when the Do Not Disturb notice was on the door. They took pictures of my personal belongings without my permission and showed them to their manager, apparently looking for something to charge me for. I consider that a violation of guest privacy under Thai law.

Lots of local restaurants nearby, and the room and bathroom were clean. Nice place, good service and helpful staff. Recommended.

The rooms are clean and good for the price. I found the interior lighting a bit too dark for my liking.
