Armonia Village Resort And Spa

We liked the room and resort design, and the room was clean and practical. The Italian food was good, especially for such a remote area, and the staff were lovely and helpful. The walk to the beach takes about 10 minutes along a pleasant, jungle-like route. The air conditioning wasn't as cool as we'd hoped. The staff member tried everything she could to help, and in the end we asked for a fan to use with it. That worked out fine since the cotton blanket wasn't thick. It was the middle of the tropics, after all. We'd definitely return if we're in the area again, and would recommend it to Thai and international friends.

Breakfast was a highlight, with a great spread of jams, toast, fruit, omelette, juice, water, and a delicious cappuccino. The service was fantastic, and the staff were friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out. Our room was spacious and clean, the pool was refreshing, and the grounds were beautiful and well kept. It's a 15-minute walk to town and 10 minutes to the beach, which didn't bother us since we had no real schedule. We also got to use some bikes for a day and enjoyed exploring the area. The town and surroundings are very quiet, making it a perfect escape. Our stay at Armonia was perfect, and I'd highly recommend the area and resort.

The cottage was decent, clean-looking, and well maintained, including the toilet. Check-in was easy when we arrived around 5 pm. But the massage centre, pool, and dining area were closed. I understand it's low season because of the monsoon winds, but I think those facilities should stay open when there are guests. I'd return if they were operating. If everything except breakfast is closed, I wouldn't.

The staff were extremely nice and helpful, and the location is good. The lush green surroundings look lovely. But the rooms are old and poorly maintained. We checked a few, and they all smelled bad and had bugs or mosquitoes. There are no window screens, so letting in fresh air also lets in a lot of bugs. The blankets are so thin they barely count as blankets. The bathroom shower is open, so water ends up all over the room whenever you shower. Stray dogs roam around the grounds, and the area is poorly lit at night.
