Psych Hostel

I slept well in the comfortable pods, and the laid-back atmosphere made the stay easy. Psych Hostel is in a handy spot, close enough to Chiang Mai’s centre, with nice places to eat or get coffee nearby. There’s also a laundromat right across the road. The hostel was clean and well cared for, with beds changed regularly and clean towels available when needed. The owner and staff were friendly and informative, and I really appreciated their extra help with parcels delivered during my stay. Good value, and I’d happily stay again.

The pod was bigger than I expected and really cool, though it only had USB ports, so I had to charge my plug and Type-C device outside it. Everything else was in good condition: hair dryer, soap, shampoo, water, fridge, shower cap, towels, plus a big bathroom and two large lockers per person. The bed was comfortable, and the place was clean, well organized, and nicely styled. Breakfast is free, and the staff were super helpful and nice. Worth every baht, definitely recommend it.

I’ve travelled around Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand and elsewhere, and this is the best hostel I’ve stayed in. The pods feel like little rooms of your own, and the place is clean and modern. Staff were the most helpful. 10/10, would highly recommend.

I only needed somewhere to sleep for the night, so I arrived late, around 10 pm. Check-in was self-service through WhatsApp with the staff or owner, who were friendly and had things prepared well. The pods are nice, and since it’s a new place, everything feels fresh and clean. The owner seems to know how to run a place like this, with things where you need them. The cafe downstairs is really stylish too. Highly recommended.
