The Beach Resort & Residence

The bamboo decorations are what stood out most to me. Everything is made from bamboo, and it’s unlike anything I’ve seen before. The room is spacious for the price, with a huge bed that could fit three. There’s a beachfront restaurant with a cafe inside, and the banacoffee and chocolate cakes are really, really good. The sunrise is pretty too, so don’t miss it.

The sea view rooms have beautiful views, and the balconies are a lovely place to sit with coffee in the morning. I had plenty of room to work at the large desk, and there was lots of cupboard space. The beds were big and comfortable, the bathroom was good, and the rooms were cleaned daily and kept tidy. Breakfast was really good, with something new to try each day. The pool was relaxing, and the staff were welcoming and helpful throughout. They helped us rent a motorcycle, answered questions quickly, and arranged an airport transfer, which made everything easy. The Beach Resort & Residence is a fantastic place to stay in Chumphon. I’d happily come back.

The staff were lovely, and I wish we’d stayed longer. The hotel is right by the water, with a beautiful sunrise and a pool overlooking the sea. There are plenty of comfortable loungers. The restaurant and breakfast were both very good. Our room was spotless, the shower had strong pressure, and the Wi-Fi worked well. There’s a 7/11 about a five-minute walk away, and the airport transfer costs 200Baht per person.

For 1200B, we’ve stayed in much better rooms. The room looked nice in the photo and was a good size with a small balcony, but we felt we paid too much. There was no breakfast, the pool was being maintained, and the room smelled damp. You could hear everything, and the Ikea furniture was swelling from the moisture.
