B2 Hat Yai Boutique & Budget Hotel

They didn’t return my room booking fee for the dates of the Hat Yai flood disaster, 11/27-12/1. Be careful about booking this hotel in the future.

During the Hat Yai flood, they refused to refund my booking. They told me, “yes the neighbourhood is under water, but you can come and check in”. Really!!!!!!!! They also stopped taking calls from me and the OTA.

The room was clean and comfortable, and parking is available with friendly security watching over it. All the staff were friendly and easy to deal with.

For a short stop in Hat Yai, this is a handy budget hotel in the city centre, near Kim Yong Market and Lee Garden Plaza. The minimalist industrial-style rooms were bright, clean and roomier than I expected for the price. Hygiene was well maintained, with no major issues. There’s a refrigerator, towels, bath towels and toiletries, plus complimentary bottled water and instant coffee. No combs, slippers, hair dryer or designated place to dry clothes, but that didn’t bother me personally. The large floor-to-ceiling window looks onto the street and gets a bit sunny around 3 to 4 PM. You can hear some motorcycles in the morning from the street-facing room. Soundproofing isn’t great, though I didn’t have excessive noise. There are no self-service check-in or check-out kiosks, so you have to go to the front desk. The staff were friendly, spoke English well, and got check-in done quickly and efficiently. I’d stay here again for a transit stop in Hat Yai.
