Crystal Hotel Hat Yai

Central Mall, the restaurants, and a market are all easy to reach on foot, which made the location excellent. Our room stayed mostly comfortable, and its layout and size were about what we've had at other places. The cleanliness was good enough and not a real concern, despite some other reviews seeming exaggerated. A few things could be better: there were no ceiling lights, no proper wardrobe, and the shower door made getting in awkward for larger people. Reception also felt chaotic, with staff seeming overloaded and communication needing improvement. Still, we had a good stay.

We made a last-minute call to go to Hat Yai from Malaysia without any plan or place to stay. This hotel popped up, and I'm so glad we booked it. It's right across from Central, with a sky walk just outside that takes you into the mall. The staff were friendly, breakfast was good, and the hotel was beautiful. The room was clean and even had a bath. There's a small gym with what you need, including towels. We ended up staying two days.

The room has almost no soundproofing. Noise carries from the hallway and from floors above and below, and door slams make a 'boink' sound through the bed and cushion that kept making sleep difficult. The breakfast room was just as bad, with kids running around, yelling, throwing food, rolling on the floor, and screaming. Neither the staff nor the parents did anything. Children were also running through the halls and slamming doors nonstop. The behavior and the noise made this an abhorrent stay. We booked here instead of another hotel, and luckily we're only staying two days. I don't understand how guests can let their kids behave like animals in a so-called 'Four Star Hotel', which this is NOT. The people staying here seem sub-civilized, closer to barbarians than civilized people. This place has no quality or standards in ANY area. Don't book unless you like noise, misbehaving children, and uncivilized people. 1/5.

I planned a trip to Hatyai in December 2025, but cancelled the booking after the recent floods and official warnings. Even though this was an emergency in Hatyai, the hotel charged me the full cancellation fee. I contacted both Booking.com and the hotel through the app and got no response from the hotel. They charged my credit card even though I had told them early that I was cancelling. There was no understanding or flexibility, and I won't book here again.
