The Three Hat Yai

The reception team were very friendly and easy to approach, and I’d happily come back. It was my first stay here. The central location made it easy to walk to Kim Yong market, restaurants, temples and other places around town. Our room was spacious and clean. The main drawback was the poor soundproofing, especially the loud bang when someone shut a door. Breakfast was only so-so and fairly simple. I’d recommend the hotel.

The first-floor cafe was a nice place to cool off, have coffee or snacks, or just sit around when it was too hot outside. The room itself was clean and roomy, and I had no complaints about the location. Getting a Grab to the big market, macro, or big C extra hatyai 2 cost around 70-87 bahts. Noise and privacy were harder to deal with. The bathroom panel is translucent, which might be fine with someone close to you, but could feel embarrassing otherwise. Someone at the basin can see your movements, and the sound carries, so washing up could disturb a person who’s sleeping. I could even hear bed activity from room 01, about 20 feet away, both day and night. Staff were okay, though they could have smiled more. There’s one lift for five floors and 25 rooms, five on each floor, so during peak season you might wait at least five minutes.

The bed was so hard that we could barely sleep during the few days we were there. If you can’t sleep, it’s hard to stay, so sadly we wouldn’t return. There were some nice touches: a basic breakfast of porridge, half-boiled eggs, biscuits and coffee, plus tea break until 4pm. They also left the daily bottled water outside the door for anyone who didn’t want to be disturbed. The Japanese bidet made the toilet seat opening smaller, and my private part kept touching the inside of the seat. It was clean, but still unpleasant knowing millions of people had used it before us xD.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, and a good location. I absolutely loved the place.
