V.L. HatYai Hotel

We were stranded for five days when severe floods hit Hatyai, and the hotel never charged extra for the extended stay. They kept providing meals and power so we could stay connected, found food for everyone, and kept checking that we were safe and comfortable. Staff and guests pulled together to cook, clean, share supplies, and help each other. I'll never forget the compassion, professionalism, and humanity they showed during the disaster. Ms. Tong, the owner, stayed with us through the crisis, along with the HR staff and accountant. She arranged transport for every guest to safe zones or the airport whenever conditions allowed. The security team took turns day and night to protect our vehicles from theft and damage. Technicians worked nonstop to keep the generator and water pumps running despite limited resources and difficult conditions. Their effort made a huge difference. Before the flooding, the rooms were clean, the facilities comfortable, and the service attentive. We were fortunate to be staying here. I'd return without hesitation.

The staff were polite and helpful. We arrived a little before check-in and only meant to leave our luggage, but since the rooms were ready they offered to let us check in early. That was a lovely surprise and considerate service. I'd consider staying again next time I'm in town. The hotel is conveniently close to Kimyong market. The lobby looks freshly refurbished, and though the rooms are only a reasonable size and a little dated in style, they were clean and well kept. There was a refrigerator in the room.

The staff were friendly and check-in went smoothly, but what I'll remember most is being stuck here for a week during the November floods. The owner and staff gave us food and shelter without asking for anything in return. They did everything they could, pushing themselves to the limit to keep everyone safe and alive. Some guests, including us, volunteered and donated to support them, but we can never truly repay what they did. Staying here means your money goes to genuinely kind, good people. I wish them all the best with the difficult recovery after the flood.

The heavy flood showed how helpful everyone at VL Hatyai Hotel is. They let us stay free and provided food, and the staff worked 24 hours without complaint to keep us safe. Even with the lift out of service, they brought fresh towels and water bottles to each room. Thank you to all the staff. I hope they get bonuses and rewards for their hard work. I'll definitely stay at VL Hatyai Hotel again when I visit Hatyai. Outside the flooding, the room was clean, comfortable, and well organized, with a clean toilet. The location is great too, close to lee garden and lots of shops.
