The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were really good at helping us. We didn't know how to call a taxi, so they arranged it for us. They could speak Chinese and Hakka, which was great. I really, really, really like Thailand and will come back next time.

The online photos set a different expectation. On the plus side, the beds were reasonably comfortable, there was a large refrigerator and an elevator, and the big parking lot behind the hotel was handy once we got an electronic key card. The drawbacks were a crooked desk, a tiny partly broken TV with a shifted picture and tinny sound, and shower pressure that kept changing. The new air conditioner cooled well but dripped from its drain pipe onto the refrigerator. The floor was dusty, there were lots of ants in the bathroom, and wind howled through the windows. There was no kettle, the internet could be slow and made us log in again whenever we left the room, and the walls were thin enough that we heard the neighbors. There was also a strange sign saying there'd be a 500B fine for moving the bed.

The receptionist was very rude. I only wanted to ask his name, but he said it didn’t matter and told me to pay the room charge right away. Bad service. 🙂
