Baan Noppadol Hua Hin Loft Hotel

The villa itself is nice, with lots of space, a 24-hour pool, a handy shop, and a good restaurant right next door. But the service means we won't come back. Some reception staff were rude. We asked for sunbeds on our first day after seeing them in nearby villas and got an abrupt no. The housekeeping team later gave us two, which was kind of them, but by then we'd spent our one villa day sitting on rock-hard benches. There wasn't enough toilet roll, and when we asked for more, staff made us feel we were in the wrong. We also asked to pay extra for a later checkout since our train to Bangkok wasn't until 1:30pm tomorrow. They said no again and offered no alternative.

Although it's in a suburban area, the place is easy to find, and transport is probably necessary. We had a great stay for three nights last month. The villas around the pool are a great idea, and the pool itself was fantastic. Our room was clean and nicely furnished. Check-in went smoothly, the staff were all helpful, and the Wi-Fi was seamless. We had dinner at the restaurant one evening, and it was fine, with excellent food at good prices and great service. Parking was never a problem. Highly recommended for service and comfort.

We stayed about 11 days. It's an affordable place with a nice pool, and the restaurant next door is really good and affordable too. Grab takes around 10 minutes to arrive, and there's a 7-11 about a 10-minute walk away. The bed is very hard, and I wished for another pillow. There's a mini-fridge but no microwave. There is a kettle for coffee or noodles. The water in our room only got a little warm, which may suit the climate, but if you're used to hot showers, at least our room didn't have one. Check what's complimentary before eating or drinking anything. We were told the items on top were free and the fridge items cost extra, but we were charged for things on top of the fridge. Now I assume only water, coffee, and tea are free. They leave a new bag of supplies every day even without cleaning the room. I found it odd that they take the towel each day, so you can't use it more than once. You only get one per person, and extra pool towels cost money. That doesn't make sense to me, but it's okay. I'd recommend the place if you're fine with these things.

The pool, rooms, and service were lovely, and the staff were terrific and friendly. It's a little away from the action, depending on what you're after. For me, the peace and quiet was ideal. Would I come back? Yes.
