Unfortunately, I can’t say anything good about this hotel. We booked two rooms through booking.com for a Saturday night and got confirmation. We drove four hours to Hua Hin and arrived at 15:45. Check-in was available from 13:00, so there was no reason to rush, but they’d given both rooms to other guests and expected our party of five to share one double room instead. At 5 pm we were scrambling to find somewhere else nearby, which wasn’t easy in high season. While we sat there considering our stay, a very strong cow manure smell came from the house opposite, along with loud mooing and a crowing chicken. I don’t know if the smell and noise get into the rooms, but with the breeze blowing the wrong way, the smell was definitely eye-watering.

This is an amazing hotel, and extremely affordable. I’ve stayed in over 100 hotels around the world, including many in Asia, and this is by far the best.

It’s a cozy, peaceful place, with rental bikes available. There’s free coffee downstairs and free tea with a cup. The laundrymat is right in front of the hotel, so you can wash your clothes there.

We liked the breakfast, especially the mhoo-ping, grilled pork with sticky rice. The room was clean, nice, and big enough for two, though it had no fridge. A fridge would have made it even better. There’s parking for both cars and motorbikes. The hotel isn’t that close to the main road, which is why they have parking lots.

We booked a room online, but when we arrived, we were told everything was full. We were already tired and had to pay for another taxi to a different hotel they’d arranged in the suburbs of Hua Hin. It looked trashy and nasty. Instead of the cute second-floor room with a balcony we expected, we got an old, junky room with no window and a broken door handle. I was furious and disappointed. Avoid at all costs.
