Anantara Hua Hin Resort

The room was a little tight for two people with luggage, though the balcony was spacious and a lovely place to sit in the sea breeze. We spent three nights at Anantara Hua Hin Resort in May 2026, in a sea-view room. The recently renovated resort feels more modern while keeping its classic charm, and it’s beautifully tropical with lots of space. Breakfast offered plenty of choice, and the restaurant team were lovely. Families might also enjoy the small mini farm. Service was mixed: some staff were warm and attentive, while others seemed less engaged. In the hot weather, the adult pool was surprisingly warm and not very refreshing. There’s a 7-11 right beside the resort.

The grounds are leafy and peaceful, the hotel sits right by the sea, and the reception staff were helpful and welcoming. There are both a regular pool for children and adults and a quiet adults-only pool. Parking is free, the room was clean and fresh, there was a kettle, and the bed firmness was about 7 on my scale. Breakfast was the letdown during my November 17-21, 2025 stay in a Deluxe Sea View Balcony room. I tried repeatedly over four days to order one large coffee with a single espresso, another with a double espresso, plus a large jug of hot milk. Even using Google Translate in Thai and getting assurances that staff understood English, we couldn’t get the order right. Gift was the only person who managed it, and I’m grateful to them. For a hotel with this reputation, breakfast didn’t meet expectations. Communication, food quality and knowledge of how to prepare some dishes all need attention. The bread and croissants were dry, and the croissants seemed like they might be from the day before. The scrambled eggs were like chopped omelet, and the Eggs Benedict were undercooked, with loose whites. Getting the coffee order right only once after as many as five or six tries was beyond criticism for a five-star hotel. I’d give breakfast a 7 for selection, 5 for quality and 4 for value. My value score for the stay was 5. On my bed scale, 0 means sinking into the mattress and 5 is average, with 10 meaning you lie on top. For breakfast, 1 means sparse, terrible or not worth the money, while 10 means overwhelming choice, top quality or definitely worth the price. For overall value, 0 means throwing money away, 5 is break even and 10 is the best return.

The beachfront dinner for my wedding was organized at a perfect 10/10 level. The hotel upgraded my room and left a wonderful VIP package, including enough chocolate to make me joke that I’d already eaten plenty that day. I’ll definitely come back. The resort feels deeply connected to nature, with flowing water, lots of pools and high-quality materials throughout. It’s luxurious without feeling showy, as if the place was imagined by an artist with a vision and an unlimited budget. There’s beautiful greenery from the entrance, where a parrot also welcomes guests, and the whole atmosphere is calm and memorable. The staff consistently greeted us with smiles and made us feel welcome. The beachfront restaurant was amazing, and service was top-notch. Breakfast was indulgent, and the resort is especially peaceful for couples. It also has plenty for anyone wanting to stay active on vacation, including a gym, boxing ring, basketball court and tennis.

That little Rocky parrot in the lobby added a lot of charm, and the on-site farm was a unique touch. The adult pool, with lotus flowers and greenery all around, felt peaceful. Our balcony overlooked a pond full of lotuses, a real hidden oasis, and the room was immaculate. From arrival onward, the staff were warm and welcoming. They kept smiling, anticipated what we needed and did an impeccable job cleaning. Every detail, from the spotless room to the calm surroundings, made the stay lovely. 10/10, absolutely recommend Anantara 🪷🫶🏾.
