First Choice Suites By The Sea

The room was fine, though it was starting to show its age. We liked having two bedrooms so our daughter could have her own bed, and it was stocked with water, pots and pans, utensils and plates. The gym was decent enough, and there were two minimarts across the road. The location is somewhat out of the way, which made it harder to find a reasonably priced taxi. Construction behind the building brought constant noise early in the morning and somewhat late into the night. The patio door also didn't lock properly, as I think it was broken. Check-in was a little confusing because there's no actual desk, and the security guard had to call the check-in "agent". The most annoying mix-up was a card left in our room that we thought showed our address, written in Thai. We used it to direct taxi drivers, then found out after they had driven past our place several times that the card was for their other property down the road. What was it doing in our room? The room itself was fine, but if you want the usual services of a traditional hotel, stay somewhere else. This felt more like a no-service timeshare.

For 15000thb a month, you get a good room and an affordable, comfortable place to stay in Hua Hin. There's a combined living and bedroom, a small kitchen and a bathroom, with everything you need. Family Mart and 7/11 are right outside, and there are lots of good restaurants nearby. It's an eight-minute walk to the green vans, which take you to the city centre for 10thb. There you'll find shopping malls, fresh morning markets for ingredients to cook at home, and night markets with plenty of street food to try. The quiet beach is also an eight-minute walk away. I'll definitely return and recommend it to anyone asking where to stay.

These are really nice condos, about a two-minute walk from the beachfront, with rooms laid out very well. They're in Khao Takiab, a quiet part of lower Hua Hin near Wat Khao Takiab. Family Mart and 7-11 are right across the road, and there are some good places to eat nearby. For breakfast, I'd recommend Oasis Cafe, and for dinner, Three Chefs and/or Steak On Stone.

It's a nice place close to the beach, and ideal if you prefer a quieter neighbourhood. Cleaning is only once a week. Although the beach is nearby, the town isn't really close. You can rent an appartement for 15k thbath a month. Buses are nearby, but renting a motorcycle is better.
