Hua Hin Marriott Resort & Spa

Our two-year-old fell in love with being in the water during our stay. The pools and spacious grounds felt safe and thoughtfully designed, and the resort was very family-friendly. The whole place was beautiful and relaxing, with a warm welcome everywhere. The staff were kind, professional, attentive, and considerate, which helped our family feel comfortable and made everything easy and memorable. We’d gladly come back to Hua Hin and stay at Hua Hin Marriott Resort & Spa again. It’s a great choice for families wanting a comfortable beachfront resort and good service. Thanks to the whole team for such an enjoyable trip.

We especially liked the food. Big Fish has a lovely ocean view and good meals, while breakfast at Amber had lots of choices and seating, both indoors and outside, including air-conditioned space. The property is large, with five pools and a beautiful stretch by the beach. There are several buildings, and Buildings 5 and 6 are closest to the ocean. The gym is open around the clock with room key access, and you can sign up for free morning yoga or Tai Chi. We didn’t get to try the spa, though it looked lovely. Everyone was polite and welcoming, greeting guests with a Thai Wai. We accidentally left our key behind and got a replacement almost right away. There are also group activities like tie-dye, batik painting, cocktail making, and candle-making workshops. We’d happily return for a relaxing break, with family, friends, or a company group.

Big Fish was our favorite for both quiet breakfasts and other meals, and the bakery was great. Siam Kitchen was a solid second choice. Amber Kitchen was disappointing, with crowded breakfasts and below-par food at the one dinner we had there. There are five food and drink outlets in all. Our room was next to the pool bar kitchen, despite asking for a good room. The constant smells and noise made it impossible to enjoy the balcony. The stay also felt less kid-friendly than at Phuket Marriott Merlin Beach: nearly every activity cost extra, even cheese on a kids’ burger. The resort itself is compact, beautiful, and has immaculate landscaping. Our family loved the river-like pool winding around the grounds, and the large, clean pools and slides were a hit with our son. The kids’ area staff were very friendly. Check-in was easy and they accommodated our early arrival; staff stayed friendly and checkout was simple. We’d return if we could get a better room.

We had a relaxing 60-minute massage at Quan Spa on the ground floor, with excellent service. The beach was easy to reach for a stroll along the sandbar, and there were lots of seats around the pool. The happy hour was decent, with buy-one-get-one offers on some drinks. On our quick Hua Hin trip, we liked the beautiful Marriott lobby and grounds. The breakfast buffet had plenty of choice. Our clean, modern room was upgraded to a beach view, and they left bottles of water each day. Highly recommend.
