Khao Tao Beach Lodge Old Siam

We loved how quiet Khao Tao beach was, with soft sand that’s good for swimming or paddling. Our room was only 8 paces from the sand, which made walks with our two dogs easy. The lodge also has three house dogs, which added to its homely feel. The accommodation itself isn’t quite 5 star, but the owners’ welcome and help, the beachfront location, and the food certainly are. We had lunch and dinner there, and every dish was first class, whether German/European or Thai. The draft beer was very good too. It was a lovely night, and we’ll be back for another in the next few weeks. A great place to relax by the water, fall asleep to the waves, eat well, enjoy beer, wine or cocktails, and feel welcome.

The couple who run the place made us feel so welcome. My husband, our dog, and I had one of our best stays here. The location is right by the beach, and it’s so beautiful. We think we’ll come back every 1-2 months.

We felt very welcome during our three wonderful days and nights here. The food was delicious, definitely recommended 😋👌. We also explored nearby national parks, with their enormous caves, temples, and beaches ⛱️.

After too many average Thai meals, we were thrilled to find the food here. The German owner makes everything himself, even the German sausage, which tasted just like home. We had a really satisfying meal, then enjoyed good wine and chats with the charming staff. We left full and slept like logs 😋😴🤣.
