I won't be coming back or recommending this hotel. I had booked and prepaid for a Junior Suite because my wife and I hoped to revisit the large room with a terrace and jacuzzi where we had stayed years ago and made such good memories. Our wedding anniversary is coming up, so we were looking forward to doing that again. I remember the suite as so spacious that our current apartment might fit inside it. Instead, on arrival we were told the booked suite wasn't available and were put in a much smaller room. No one let us know about the change beforehand. If guests pay in advance for a particular room type, they should either receive it or be told clearly before they arrive. If getting the room type you paid for at the Marrakesh matters to you, it may be worth checking with the hotel before your stay.

We'd happily stay at Maria’s room again. It was clean, roomy, and cozy, and the balcony was just right for relaxing. There are lots of lovely beach cafes nearby, and our host was really helpful and accommodating.

We paid a bit more than we found reasonable compared with other places, though we only booked the day before and had fewer options. The roomy balcony faced the street, but traffic was fairly quiet and we slept well. Inside, the room was fine, with good air conditioning, comfortable beds, and plenty of space. Fridge drinks were varied and reasonably priced, and were restocked each day. Coffee and tea were free, with a kettle provided. We stayed for two nights. It's a proper hotel, so it felt less cozy than a cottage.
