It was extremely noisy, and there were so many pests that after a few nights we had to get all our luggage professionally cleaned. In 40 years, I’ve never stayed in an apartment this infested. It was also completely overpriced.
The pool was large and pleasantly cool, though it stayed in the shade, with no sun loungers out in the sun. There was also some construction next to it. I stayed in a studio suite for nine days, and was very happy overall. The location was really nice, close to the beach, and the 24-hour security made me feel safe. Checking in late at 4 a.m. was easy. The room was clean and big enough for two or three; the sofa bed seemed too small for two, so four people would be a stretch. Housekeeping was great, and the gym was nice.
I paid almost 150 USD for electricity over 29 days, so keep that extra cost in mind. My room faced the highway, and traffic noise carried on all night. The whole complex is across from Bangkok Hospital, with sirens at all hours. Internet was slow and kept cutting out. The pool spent a lot of time in the shade, had no sun deck, and felt a little cold.
The room was tiny, even though we had booked a family room, and there was black water damage on a bedroom wall. Neighbors were very loud until 7 in the morning. We had a booking.com confirmation for a nighttime check-in, but after waiting outside among mosquitos for a long time, we finally got into the room. At checkout around 9 a.m., nobody was there again, and we waited another 20 minutes. I had better things to do than spend over an hour waiting to check in and out, especially after paying 1300 Bhat.
It’s cheap and handy for local shops, and the beach is nearby. The road is noisy, though, and the studio apartments are all at the front with small balconies, so they’re not ideal. Electricity costs extra, which adds up when you need the air con on most of the time. The beach is quiet and long but a bit narrow, with very few sunbeds, and they’re overpriced.
