Royal Pavilion Hua Hin Hotel

The building feels older than newer Hua Hin hotels, but it’s still well maintained and comfortable. The room was spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable after a day out, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There’s also a pool and a small gym. The location is the real highlight. Hua Hin Night Market is an easy walk, so it’s simple to find street food, seafood, snacks, and souvenirs in the evening without driving or taking a tuk-tuk. For the location and room size, it’s good value if you want to stay near the market and walk around town at night.

From check-in through check-out, the staff were five-star, and I was completely pleased with everyone and everything. I’m basing this on the room, service, and restaurants. The location makes it easy to get to whatever you’re after, including transportation. I’d absolutely visit again when I need to.

The pool is fine for a quick dip, though it’s tucked into a confined area and doesn’t get much sun. The gym looks about twice as big in the photos as it really is, thanks to the mirrors. The rooms are okay, but dated enough that I’d give them more like 3.5 stars than 4, and they could use a refurb. The location is quite central, and Bolt and Grab are usually just 1-3 minutes away. The staff were amazing, as is often the case in Thailand, and Hoo was especially lovely, always eager to help with bags or open doors.

There are some nice touches, like a movie theater, free popcorn, and rides to some places around the city. The rooms are clean and the staff are pleasant, but sound carries through the walls. The TVs aren’t smart, and the beds aren’t comfortable.
