The Spirit Resort Hua Hin

The resort sits well outside Hua Hin, in a secluded spot. Getting a Grab or Bolt took 10+ minutes, then it was another 15+ minute drive to the nearest beach or shopping areas. If you don’t have your own transport, it’s worth getting snacks and drinks before you settle in for the evening. We loved the private villa: it was roomy, had its own pool, and rooftop seating where we could relax or watch the sunrise and sunset. The outlets and appliances are starting to look a bit dated, but the private space was still very comfortable and luxurious. The golf cart made trips to the lobby and The Moment Cafe easy, and the restaurant there was amazing. Even stopping in for drinks is a must. The property is beautiful and peaceful, away from the city bustle. Staff were kind and helpful throughout. My stay at Spirit Resort in the Hua Hin hills was fantastic, and I highly recommend it for a relaxing getaway.

We really didn’t want to leave 🥺. The beaches nearby were lovely and uncrowded, and we enjoyed the local feel of Khao Tao. It was a peaceful spot outside Hua Hin, but close enough to reach town in 15 minutes. We booked The Spirit Resort fairly late, and our villa turned out to be one of our favorite stays in Thailand. It felt like a gorgeous green oasis, with indoor and outdoor living spaces we adored. We also appreciated the privacy. Whenever we needed something, staff were ready to help with room service, cleaning, or extra water bottles.

The breakfast was generous, with a full course and a choice of main, plus breads, fruit, coffee, and even banana roti. The outdoor pool was clean and well maintained, and the whole resort had a pleasant look and feel. We appreciated how the villas sit on terraced levels, giving a private feel when swimming. From our pool we could look out to the tree-lined horizon without being visible from the path below. The landscaping was thoughtfully laid out, with greenery and trees fitting naturally into the surroundings. Our villa had sturdy, elegant furnishings that seemed to be real wood. The rooftop deck with two lounge chairs was a lovely place to stargaze on a clear night. Staff were quick to respond, just a call or message away. We arrived late, and a golf cart was ready to take us from the parking area to our villa, which made for a welcoming start. The Spirit is south of Hua Hin, a little inland with mountains behind it. It stayed quiet and peaceful during our visit, a good fit for a romantic getaway or a relaxing break. We loved our stay and would absolutely return. Highly recommend it for relaxing in a setting of water and mountains. 10/10.

The green mountain views were beautiful, especially in the rainy season, and from the restaurant and villas up the hill you can also see the sea. The surroundings felt healing for the mind and heart. The Spirit Hua Hin is a hidden gem for couples and families. We wanted quality time, good food, and good service, and found all of that here. We eat vegetarian, and the chef and manager understood our needs and prepared delicious food accordingly. The food and rooms were both really good. A wonderful place to visit.
