Nithra Ratree Hotel

For THB500 a night, this family-run place with 10 rooms was acceptable. The room had air conditioning, a warm shower, a fridge, cable TV, and a high ceiling. The bathroom hardware and fixtures were good quality, and you need an electronic keycard to get to the second floor, which felt more secure. The bathroom had a strong, stuffy, sweaty smell on the first day that was still there on my fourth night. The shower drained slowly, and there were stray dogs around the property.

They asked politely for a deposit when I booked, but refused when I tried to cancel five days ahead. Don't send the deposit!

Parking is available outside the hotel and right in front of the rooms. The rooms are spacious, with a separate bathroom, towel rack, and a sofa beside the bathroom for relaxing. WiFi, air conditioning, a water heater, and a kettle are provided. It's near the train station, though a little outside town, so having your own car would be more convenient.

I stayed one night before work, and it was really convenient. The two-storey place is quiet, and you can park right outside a ground-floor room. Mine was spacious, with a bed, sofa, TV, fridge, and water heater, and it was very good value. CJ More and the market are nearby.
