The S Block Condotel

The rooms are large, and the hotel feels clean and safe. There are parking spots right in front, and it's very good value for money. Just know the pool sits in the courtyard parking area, so it doesn't feel especially relaxing while you're swimming or afterward.

The staff didn't make us feel welcome. I booked two days and asked ahead if I could check in a little early, but they wouldn't help. While I waited outside, nobody even offered cold water. The price was so-so, and I don't think management is doing a good job. They really aren't flexible.

The room was okay, but the whole place had a bad feel compared with other hotels I've stayed at. Maybe it was the service or the receptionist, I'm not sure. I booked through Agoda after being promised a good room on the highest floor. I ended up on the 5th floor with a lovely view. It seemed reasonably priced when I booked, but I regret it now and should have picked another hotel.

I stayed six days and five nights, and the experience was disappointing enough that I won't return or recommend the place. The room was mostly self-service, and the fridge was actually a wine cooler that didn't cool anything. Later I saw other guests had mentioned the same issue. I was on the 7th floor, where mobile reception was already weak, so I depended on the Wi-Fi to work. It was extremely slow and kept dropping out. I told staff twice, but nothing changed, and I couldn't work properly. After a small accident, I asked for a late checkout because I was travelling alone and needed extra time to pack with my injury. I explained and showed them the wound, but they still refused and said the power would be cut at noon exactly. There was no flexibility or consideration. For what I paid, there are better options in Khon Kaen.
