Rachaphruk Grand Hotel

The WiFi was the big problem on this stay. I couldn't get a signal from inside my room and had to stand by the door to connect. I hope they sort it out before I come back next year. I've stayed here two years in a row, and the staff have been warm each time. The location is very convenient, and the hotel is comfortable and clean. Breakfast has a tasty, varied selection. For a great view, I'd ask for a room on floors 7-10 facing the front toward Terminal 21.

The staff were excellent, and breakfast was really good. Our room was a good size and had everything we needed, including a TV, kettle, and air conditioning.

I found this a comfortable enough place to base myself while exploring Korat for two nights. It's quiet, the room was clean though dated, and the bed was comfortable. I also had a good view of Korat. Staff were all pleasant and polite, and the WiFi was fast and dependable. Getting to Terminal 21 Korat and the two main bus terminals for Bangkok was convenient. The nearest 7-Eleven, though, is a fairly long 10-minute walk. In the room, the shower barely had more than a trickle of pressure. The AC was slow too: even at its lowest setting, it took hours to bring the temperature down to just 25°C.

Breakfast was plentiful in a pleasant room, and everything was well stocked. Our chef made fried eggs and omelettes for us, and there was lots of parking right in front of the main entrance. The staff were pleasant and helped with our luggage all the way to the 9th floor. With two lifts, getting up and down was quick. The hotel has been around for a while but is maintained reasonably well. Our deluxe room was a good size, with a city view and a spacious bathroom. It was a little dark, so more lighting and extra plugs would have helped.
