It’s quite remote, so come ready for a quiet stay with your group. Kang Krachan Dam is about a 20-30 minute drive away, and there’s a nearby Makro store where we bought fresh seafood. We brought sauce and side dishes, rented a charcoal grill for 300 baht, and cooked supper on it. Plates, utensils, and a knife came with the grill. You can also arrange to order food there. Our room for four was large and clean, though the two extra single beds were hard. The stay was simple but satisfying, and pleasant overall. The one real letdown was breakfast: the bread, ham, coffee, and other items were poor quality and not what you might be used to in Western countries. We ate a little, then went to a nearby market or town for a proper breakfast.
