Kamala Cool Hotel

It’s easy to explore from this centrally located hotel, with restaurants, shops, cultural attractions, and bars all within walking distance. Ask about renting scooters when you arrive, the deal was good and it made getting around the island easy. From the start, I was met with warm, professional service. The staff were attentive and efficient, and always had a smile. The owner deserves a special mention for being approachable and personally involved. He was incredibly helpful and made guests feel welcome, and his care for hospitality showed throughout.

A heads-up if you’re considering this hotel: apparently guests aren’t allowed to complain. The owner Andreas was terrible. Rather than address problems or clean dirty blankets, he gaslights guests and publicly exposes their names to shame and guilt-trip them. Your time and money matter, so avoid this place and keep your peace while traveling.

We stayed for a week and the room covered everything we needed. It was large and clean, and the plunge pool was just the right temperature. Andi, the manager, was responsive and very helpful whenever we needed something. For the price, it’s one of the best value stays in Kamala Beach, with what you need even if it may not have everything you want. The beach is a five-minute walk away, and shops and restaurants are easy to get to. The building faces a noisy street, so traffic can be heard, though that’s hard to avoid in this area.

A lovely little hotel in a great spot, and really good value. The owners and management were friendly. A real Phuket gem, I’ll definitely stay here next time I visit the island.
