The pool was a highlight, with a beautiful view and a really relaxing feel. I think this is one of the best resorts I've stayed at. The receptionists were warm and welcoming, too. Kamala Resotel is just a 4-minute walk from the beach. Its rustic front, dressed up with greenery, looks different from the neighboring hotels. The room was roomy, well kept, and had the amenities listed. There was also a balcony for relaxing, smoking, or hanging wet bikinis. Breakfast had lots to choose from, though some of it was a little bland: sausages, grilled pork (mooping), pineapple fried rice, waffles, cereal, toast, and seasonal fruit. For what we paid, it felt like good value, maybe even worth more.

Lee at the front desk made the stay memorable. He was extremely friendly and helpful, and speaks perfect English. It was a real pleasure meeting him, and Kamala Resotel is lucky to have him. The hotel itself is gorgeous.

I'd come back, especially if my sister is paying again. The place is pretty nice and things work. WiFi is available, though it's not great. Breakfast got a little repetitive, but over the week I stayed there was enough variety. Bacon lovers might not think the bacon meets their standards, but that's hard to provide locally.

A decent place to stay in Kamala, with a pretty good location near the beach and shops. The lobby smelled a bit musty from the humidity. Breakfast was poor, but the rest was good.

The rooftop pool is the standout, the view from up there was amazing. Kamala beach is a 3-minute walk, there's a 7/11 across the main road, and restaurants, beauty salons, and other things you need are nearby. The room was spacious and clean, and the staff were always smiling and welcoming. Breakfast was almost the same each day, though they changed one or two items. The hotel is worth the price.
