Oceana Kamala by Lofty

Kamala is a great area, and I really liked the view. The pool was fine, and while the gym is small, everything worked and was in decent shape. If you're staying in an A building, be prepared for quite a long walk. Rainy days made the room feel very damp, and some mold might show up. That could be because it’s so close to the sea, or it may depend on the room. I enjoyed the stay and would be happy to return.

Having direct access to the pool from the terrace is just too good. This apartment is in the best spot in the resort, and everything you need is close by, with the beach nearby too. It’s very clean, and they freshen it up every two days. There’s free garage parking for your motorbike. I’ve been coming to this resort for years, but this was my first time in this apartment. The rooms are big but have standard furniture. The gym is very small and doesn’t even have a mirror, haha. Five stars for the sea view from the balcony, though.

I left early because I didn’t feel safe or comfortable in this unclean unit at Lofty Villas. I wouldn’t recommend it. I’m sharing photos and videos so people can see the condition before booking. The apartment in Building B wasn’t clean when I arrived. There were stains on the furniture, drapery, bar stools, linens, towels, and pillowcases; the bathrooms and showers were dirty, and dust and debris were throughout. I felt uncomfortable touching things and had to buy cleaning supplies. There were also safety problems: electrical outlets were coming out of the wall, and the AC unit leaned forward and wasn’t secured properly. Access was awkward too. You can’t check in directly at Building B, because the key is in another building. With luggage, you have to cross buildings and courtyards, then use elevators and stairs. This wasn’t disclosed before booking. I contacted Lofty Villas right after checking in about the issues, but didn’t get a response on the safety problems until the next day. Booking.com said they would contact the property, but neither they nor I got a reply. Lofty Villas first offered to send housekeeping the next day, but that didn’t address the stains, furniture, drapery, or safety issues. When I asked for clean towels and washcloths to get through the night, they stopped responding. I have screenshots of the messages.
