The garden out back was a highlight, with a big pond and a barbecue area with tables where you can relax or eat outside. The homestay is also easy to find right by the road, with a 7-Eleven, gas station, and café close by. I’d love to return with friends, and you can rent the whole villa for more privacy. It seems suitable for families or friends too. I stayed one night and was surprised to be the only guest. There are four rooms, two upstairs and two downstairs. I arrived about an hour before check-in and called the property number. The owner’s son answered and said, “I’ll call my mom.” Soon the owner arrived. She was very welcoming, spoke excellent English, and made me feel at home. She lives next door and showed me around. My room was comfortable, though its bathroom and shower were shared with another downstairs room. Guests can use a fully equipped kitchen, and the fridge had water, beers, and sodas at very reasonable prices. I’d highly recommend the homestay.

The real surprise was the huge garden behind the house, full of local trees. Ask your host if you can see it, it makes for an amazing walk. With just four guest rooms, the owner-run guesthouse feels very private, and we felt at home right away. Don’t let the two-star category put you off. The rooms are thoughtfully designed and well maintained, and the house design is exceptional for the time it was built. Thanks for hosting us, we’ll be back.

The owners’ warmth and hospitality were the best part for me. They welcomed us right away, were friendly, helpful, and full of information. The lady speaks very good English, so it was easy to communicate. This was only our second hostel stay, and it didn’t disappoint. We chose a separate room with an ensuite because we wanted privacy. The house is beautiful inside, with traditional dark teak wood that feels high quality, much like boutique hotels I’ve stayed in. Smaller places like this feel much more welcoming than overpriced suite stays. Our room was basic but had a dark teak floor, a small clothes rack, TV, and two small bottles of water. The bathroom had shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner, plus a western-style shower with nice hot water. There’s free fast WiFi. Parking is on the front lawn, which looked so well kept that I first thought we had to park elsewhere. There’s no breakfast, but there are other places nearby, though some only open at 9am. The Kwai bridge and bars on the party street are a 10-minute drive, Dragon temple is a five-minute walk, and there are a few restaurants nearby, as well as other resorts that likely have restaurants. A lovely, friendly place, recommended if you want privacy or budget dorm accommodation.

There are four clean rooms and three bathrooms. It’s a really nice place, with the basics and more covered: soap, shampoo, towels, a kitchen, barbecue, even karaoke. The front and back yards are spacious too.
