My Home Guesthouse

This family hotel has a friendly feel. My air-conditioned room and bathroom were clean and tidy, and the water pressure made for a good shower. I could have used a refrigerator, though I managed without one. The shared area is well kept, with lots of greenery and a nice place to relax. Shops and places to eat are nearby, and the train station and main city attractions are close too.

The rooms are comfortable and clean, with a choice of air conditioning or a fan. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the small menu is delicious, using local ingredients. The guesthouse is near the busy high street but sheltered from the noise. Plants around the garden and reception are well looked after and give the place a lovely feel. Guests sit on the thick wooden benches with a cold beer or free tea or coffee and swap travel stories.

We spent two nights in the 250 Baht double fan room with shared toilets. The room and toilets were clean, and we loved all the greenery around the guesthouse. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a bit small, but we were usually out or hanging out in the common area with the free coffee, so it didn't bother us much. The location was great, with the night market and train station about a 10-minute walk away. There were also plenty of bars and food choices on the street.

The location works well if you're arriving by train, but it's far from the bus station. My room could fit one person and gets hot during the day. The toilet was clean and nearby, though it was outside the room.
